I Want To Travel!!!

I was thinking of posting a blog about my biggest regrets of 2008 but then I realized that there were so many. LOL. But one of my biggest regrets is not getting to travel last year. I read about so many different places that I wanted to visit but I didn’t have the opportunity to visit them. One of those places is Branson Missouri. I read great things about what a vacation in Branson Missouri has to offer and I have to tell you, I was pretty surprised! There’s so much to do there! I love all of the great lodging options as well as the attractions that Branson offer.

I’m kind of a museums buff so I would definitely love to check out the Hollywood Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum and the World’s Largest Antique Toy Museum! I’ve never been to a wax museum before and I would just love to visit one! I’m not really a fan of thrill rides, but boy does Branson offer a lot of those! I’m much more interested in the water rides, Go Kart track and Miniature Golf courses that they have. I love it!

With all of the affordable vacation packages that Branson Getaways has to offer I’m sure that if I start saving money now I can afford a great vacation by the time the weather breaks. There are packages that fit every need. Both couples and families. You can’t beat that!

Thinking Positive!!!

Hey look, it’s 2009!!! I guess I should take the time out to wish everyone a happy new year. I hope this year brings lots of great things for you and your loved ones. My new year hasn’t started off too great but it’s OK because it’s only January 4th. I still have over 11 more months to turn things around! ;) I’m trying my hand at positive thinking this year because thinking negatively takes way too much time and energy. I’m trying to keep in mind that as long as I have breath in my lungs I can still make a change for the better. Hopefully that positive thinking will open some doors for me. Think positive! I haven’t been watching much TV lately so I’m not sure what I’m going to be doing with this site but I do have a few ideas. We’ll see. Anyhoo, once again I wish you a happy new year!

A New Faucet

I don’t know whether or not I’ve mentioned this, but we have a new kitchen faucet! Woohoo!! I’m so happy. I’m totally in love with the new faucet that we have. As I’ve mentioned in the past, our old faucet was pretty nice but for some reason it had started to leak almost every day. It was really strange because sometimes it would leak for a day straight, then not leak at all. After having it leak off and on for a few days we decided that it would be best to replace it. I hated wasting so much water every day. It was literally like money going down the drain.

Our old facet was the kind that had the hot and cold water separately, but this new faucet resembles the 1 or 3 Hole Chrome kitchen sink faucets made by Price Pfister. I think it’s pretty spiffy. It took a while to get used to having the hot and cold water come out together, but now I couldn’t imagine going back to my old style of faucet.

What’s Worse, Cable or DTV!

I received my cable bill the other day and I noticed that they’ve raised the price again. With the new price increase my bill is now almost 90$ a month. I’m not sure if that’s normal or not, but in my opinion that’s a bit much for television. Especially since most of the shows that I watch on cable can also be viewed online. I’m really having second thoughts about keeping my cable.

The only thing that’s stopping me from cutting off my cable as of right now is this new Digital TV transition that’s happening on February 17, 2009. It seems so much easier to keep the cable than to have to worry about buying the right antennas for my televisions. I still don’t quite understand the point of that. I know the POS systems at a lot of stores are going to be getting a lot of work in February because everyone is going to be buying new television sets and antennas.
